Cool new tech: Swiss researchers have been working on a robotic platform that consists of multiple single propeller machines that autonomously dock with one another and fly. They are calling it the Distributed Flight Array and is the latest in advanced swarm robotics.
Each unit is comprised of wheels for ground motion, a propeller, a computer, infrared sensors that can measure the flight angle, and they join together using high-powered magnets.
